TVF&R Raises More than $52,000 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association

Firefighters volunteered their off-duty time to stand on street corners for the past two weekends raising money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and it paid off. Thanks to the generous donations of hundreds of area residents, TVF&R’s firefighters and volunteers were able to raise more than $52,800. Their goal was $45,000.

Burn Ban Goes into Effect

The Washington County Fire Defense Board, in cooperation with the Oregon Department of Forestry, has enacted a burn ban within Washington County, effective Saturday, August 20, 2011.
