Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue firefighters activated a three alarm medical response during  today’s shooting in Tualatin.  The shooting took place in and around a medical clinic near the intersection of SW Warm Spring Street and SW Martinazzi Avenue.

With no confirmation of how many victims were involved, Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue sent over ten units to the scene, Lake Oswego Fire Department had one unit, and Metro West Ambulance had at least six ambulances. Karen Eubanks, Public Information Officer states, “Initially, there was conflicting information coming in. We were hearing that we had the potential for as many as ten victims so we were prepared for many more patients.” Fearing that the shooter remained at large, all fire and ambulance units were directed to stage at the old Tualatin Elementary School. They were soon cleared by law enforcement officers to enter the scene and begin patient care. Two adults – one male with multiple gunshot wounds and a female with multiple lacerations – were treated by TVF&R medics and transported to OHSU and Legacy Emanuel Hospital.
