TVF&R Firefighters responded to a residential fire in the Durham area Sunday morning. When crews arrived at 17011 SW Rivendell, they found a home’s roof fully involved in flames. Crews from Engines 34 and 35 along with Truck 51 worked quickly to extinguish the flames before they spread to surrounding trees or homes.
The fire’s cause is still under investigation. A wood fireplace was in use at time of fire. Investigators estimate that the fire caused $100,000 in damage.
